Airbus A340-600 of Thai Airways At Zurich Kloten Airport
Thai Airways officially retires its Airbus A340-600 fleet for all destinations per April 2015.Previously, the national carrier of Thailand had operated about six Airbus A340-600s especially for long-haul flights or international routes. The carrier received first A340-600 in 2005 and the last delivery was in 2008.
There is no specific reason of retiring those A340-600's fleet but source person said that Airbus A340-600 will be sell soon.
Thai Airways has replaced A340-600 with other aircraft types in certain routes.
The last flights of A340-600 of Thai Airways were Frankfurt and Singapore to Bangkok and Zurich to Singapore.
At the moment, whole A340-600s fleet moved from Suvarnabhumi Airport to Utapao Airport.
Airbus A340-600 has the longest fuselage length ever among passengers jet aircraft.
